The financial year wraps on 30 June, and the teams who want to mark it properly have already started looking for somewhere. Not a function room with a projector and a sad grazing table - somewhere people actually want to be on a Thursday afternoon.
We host EOFY team events at our distillery in Mermaid Beach, built around the thing we're good at: spirits made on-site, and the experiences that go with them. Here's how it works.
Take the team behind the still. Chris made every spirit we pour, and a tour walks your group through how it's actually done - the ferment, the cuts, the reason any of it tastes the way it does. It's hands-on and it's real, which is more than you can say for most work functions.
Sit the team down for a proper tasting through the range, including the spirits recognised at the London Spirits Competition, the Melbourne Royal Spirits Awards, the Australian International Rum Awards and the Australian Rum Awards. No lanyards, no icebreakers -just good spirits and the stories behind them.
This is the one teams talk about afterwards. Everyone gets behind the bar, makes their own drinks, and finds out who can actually shake a cocktail and who absolutely cannot. It's the easiest way we know to loosen a group up and get them laughing.
However you start, you finish in the bar. Pizzas and shareplates, a cocktail list built around what we distil, and a sunset deck looking out over the Broadbeach skyline. Plenty of teams book an experience to kick things off and then settle in for the afternoon.
An EOFY event is a thank-you to the people who got you through the year, so spend it somewhere with a bit of substance. We're a working distillery, which means your team leaves having actually done something - and tasted something they won't get anywhere else on the Coast. It works just as well for a local team as it does for an interstate crew down for a conference looking for one good afternoon.

When are you open, and when should we book?
- We're open Thursday to Sunday. Earlier in the week by appointment. EOFY books out quickly, so the earlier you lock it in before 30 June the better, especially for a weekend.
